The partnership between VIZ Media and Cartoon Network has proven successful. In the first month alone Toonami’s Jetstream service, which features streaming full episodes of Hikaru no Go, Mar and The Prince of Tennis, has logged more than 9.5 million video streams from 725,000 visitors per week.

Laputa: Castle in the Sky has reached 200 weeks on Japan’s DVD Top 300. The top six DVDs are as follows:

Bang Zoom! Entertainment has announced Voice Actor Boot Camp. Each session is one day from 10am to 6pm. Signups are for one of the follow Saturdays: September 16, October 14 and November 4. A one day session will run $299 and will be held at Bang Zoom! Studios in Burbank, CA.

Two new anime shows have been announced: Armored Core: Fort Tower Song and Souten no Ken (Fist of the Blue Sky). Armored Core: Fort Tower Song is based on the popular videogame franchise while Souten no Ken will be based on the manga prequel (of the same name) to Fist of the North Star.

According to AnimeNation a new anime titled Okane Ganai (No Money) has been announced. The anime is based on Tohru Kousaka’s 1999 yaoi novel of the same name. More details at the official website.

Anime Expo 2007 will be held in the Long Beach Convention Center in Long Beach, California from June 29 to July 2.

4Chan is currently hosting a torrent of a video of their Otakon 2006 panel. The panel features moot, shut and team 4chan. You get to see lots of people yelling out internet catchphrases, funny stuff.

According to AnimeNation, IGN has posted the first Afro Samurai trailer. Afro Samurai debuts in November on Spike TV.

FUNimation has listed all of the theaters showing the Fullmetal Alchemist movie on August 25th and 26th.
