ADV Films Announces HD Anime on WMP
In a press release sent out today, ADV Films announced a new deal to bring Noir, Rahxephon and Full Metal Panic! to Windows Media High Definition Video. The two-disc volumes, to be released throughout 2005, will feature a DTS Surround Sound on one disc, and a crisp Dolby 5.1 soundtrack on the other. The DVDs can be played on any computer with a HD compatible DVD player and Windows Media Player 9 or higher.
[update] Anime News Network has clarified that the first disc will be the HD version of the anime, with a DTS Surround Sound soundtrack, while the second disc will be the normal version of the anime with a Dolby 5.1 mix.
