Wannabe Fansubs Ignores Request to Stop Subs
Anime News Network reported that Anime-Suki and other distributors of anime fansubs were asked by Media Factory to stop production/distribution of their material. This was the first time that a Japanese production company had sent out a request directly.
After the letter, Anime-Suki and many others in the fansubbing community stopped distribution. Wannabe Fansubs officially confirmed that they are taking a stance of “indifference” against the letter. Although Wannabe Fansubs does not distribute the anime, they will continue to produce subs:

The meeting concluded today with only a partial conclusion. Nonetheless, it states that WannabeFansubs.net and its direct affiliates will take an “indifferent” approach to this issue. This response came following Anime-Keep’s pledge to continue fansubbing Gankutsuou until further notice, and Scarywater disregarding “licensing” issues that are not within the North American region. WannabeFansubs will follow suit and continue to fansub School Rumble as per the usual routine. WF has and will continue to provide through its members’ hard work and devotion free fansubs to School Rumble fans until further notice.
